Renewable energy: six ENPI CBC Med projects in focus at first Mediterranean solar forum

Technical trends, innovative solutions and economic challenges in the solar energy sector will be discussed by six projects funded by the Programme during the first Mediterranean solar forum in Barcelona on November, 27th.
The event, organized by the ASCAME and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation of Barcelona, will bring together government representatives, international organizations, project promoters and private investors, in order to reflect upon the challenges and opportunities that solar energy represents for the Mediterranean, taking into consideration its strategic importance as an abundant and sustainable energy source for the region.
Six ENPI CBC Med projects worth over € 25 million - namely DIDSOLIT-PB, FOSTEr in Med, MED-DESIRE, MED-SOLAR, SHAAMS, STS-MED - will unveil a series of technological, regulatory and financial tools designed to improve energy efficiency in the Mediterranean area.
The Mediterranean solar forum is taking place in the framework of the Mediterranean Week of Economic Leaders, one of the main economic events in the region.
