Paper. EIT Climate-KIC and its partner UPV: Entrepreneurship as a powerful way to address climate change

EIT Climate-KIC stimulates the energy and enthusiasm of entrepreneurs to lead the change with new climate-positive business models as a powerful way to address climate change across sectors and systems. EIT Climate-KIC programmes have supported more than 2,000 start-ups throughout Europe since 2010. In Spain, the entrepreneurship ecosystem has counted with partners from the Academia (Universitat Politècnica de València and Madrid), Corporates (Ferrovial) and Associations (AVAESEN), as well as a series of key actors aligned with our strategy.  The acceleration programme is aimed at ambitious startups with a high potential for business growth and a high level of climate impact. We also support the training of start-ups in the early stages through our Climate Launchpad programme and the Greenhouse pre-incubation programme.
