THE IES SCALEUP CALL FOR PROPOSALS

The SCALEUP target actions focus on strengthening network connectivity within and between innovation ecosystems in order to help European companies to better sustain their growth and gain new competitive advantages.

This call is supported by the Horizon Europe Framework Programme on Expanding Business Ecosystems.

SCALEUP - Raising the Scalability Potential of European Businesses

In today's competitive landscape, innovative companies thrive on the support of an ecosystem that provides additional skills, data, customers and knowledge. Network connectivity within and between innovation ecosystems contributes greatly to sustainable business growth with high societal value. An ecosystem focused on meeting companies' specific needs helps them to stimulate their expansion at European and global level and lead to accelerated growth.

This destination aims to strengthen and expand cooperation between innovation actors to better support the next generation of innovative companies whose solutions will lead the shift towards a more competitive EU and a more sustainable, inclusive and resilient world.

Actions under this destination will help innovation ecosystems to help companies better sustain their growth and gain new competitive advantages. In addition to stronger innovation performance, greater competitive sustainability and faster transitions to a green and digital society, ecosystem integration can provide companies with access to new markets and customers and contribute to disruptive strategies. By actively participating in their local, national and European networks, companies can increase their overall growth potential.

Expected impact

Topic proposals under this target should establish a credible pathway to contribute to raising the scalability potential of businesses and, more specifically, to one or more of the following impacts:

Improved network connectivity within innovation ecosystems by strengthening their capacity to support existing and emerging innovators and businesses;
Strengthened and expanded cooperation between innovation ecosystems worldwide;
More inclusive and gender-equitable innovation ecosystems.

AMOUNT

One EIE SCALEUP call with a total budget of EUR 5 million.
