Out of the startup pile, though, these three are expected to influence more and more people to join in supporting online platforms that promote fashion.

Let us take a quick rundown of the three online fashion stunners that had successfully captured the attention of the market this year.

Pomelo Fashion

Founded by Win Thanapisitikul, Casey Liang and David Jou, Pomelo Fashion is a Thailand-based e-commerce startup that specialises in high-street fashion from Japan, Hong Kong, and Korea. Pomelo’s purpose is to show and offer its customers fashion trends from other countries.

One of the cited reasons behind Pomelo Fashion’s success is that the startup works closely with suppliers to ensure quality and that all standards are met, so as not to disappoint expectations of high-end clothing online shoppers. Pomelo Fashion has a group of talented in-house designers that concentrates on Seoul and New York style and translates these into merchandise apt for the Thai market.

To make sure visitors are in the loop for the latest fashion trends, Pomelo Fashion sends updates on its fashion items every week. Pomelo Fashion can take orders before 3pm and get the items delivered the same day for its Bangkok customers.

Styleprofile

Singaporean online fashion startup Styleprofile was founded by Manuel Gruber, Liling Ong, and Roland Felber. The three founders were bound by their love for fashion—a unique arrangement, considering how all three come from different industries. The team’s backer is Alps Ventures, spearheaded by Markus Pichler.

Styleprofile focuses on women who like to chat with their friends about the latest fashion trends and as well as buy the latest styles online. The Styleprofile found a way to build a product that answers this need—with a social twist. In May this year, the startup launched various lines, including the “classy black-and-white design.” The team hopes to continuously attract thousands of Asian women to register and experience the site.

The site has an outfit builder feature that lets users to create looks online by doing a mix-and-match of different items or pattern a look to someone else’s fashion style. A Styleprofile registered user will have an interactive style profile that will show their favourite items and style.

Clozette

Founded in 2010, Clozette, an online fashion startup from Singapore has been winning the year so far. The fashion startup gained a fund of US$3 million Series B round under Phillip Private Equity. Clozette has also gathered 300,000 members, 8 million views, and more supporters on social media.

Clozette continues to feature global brands such as Burberry and Club 21 under its site. The startup serves as an interactive portal for visitors who love to be updated with the latest fashion trends. Clozette actively counts customers from other Asian countries such as Taiwan, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines among its online consumer base.

These three fashion startups are set and expected to continue through to the next year in encouraging a lot of fashion trendsetters around the world, as well as in drumming interest in online businesses.
